Mock test

At Cambridge Driving Centre we ensure that you are ready and capable of passing your driving test first time. Our pass rates are extremely high which is down to the fact that all of our instructors prepare you fully for your driving test and teach safe driving for life.

To aid your preparation for your test we offer a mock test which will be conducted by one of our instructors that specialises in this particular area.

Once you have a driving test booked we will arrange, with you, a convenient time for you to take a mock test. This will consist of a 2 hour lesson which is broken down as follows:

• The first 20 minutes will be spent as a warm up drive. We will pick you up and you will then drive to the test centre where you will be taking your actual test. Once at the test centre your instructor will begin the mock test. This will start with an eyesight check and 2 questions being asked about the general maintenance of the car.
• You will then begin the general driving part of your test with the instructor marking a driving test report form. You will be asked to do 1 manoeuvre and also you will be asked to carry out the 'independent drive part of the test.
• The mock test will last approximately 40 minutes, at the end of which, your instructor will go through the driving test report form explaining the points that have been noted.
• After your debrief the rest of the lesson time will be spent working of the areas arising from your mock test and then you will be dropped back at home.
