Taxi assessment training

The taxi assessment test is reflective of modern driving practices. The standard is set at a level suitable for the full driving licence holder which is, therefore, higher than the learner driver test.

Our specialist instructor will be able to advise you of everything involved in the taxi testand prepare you practically. On your assessment, with us, you will cover the following areas of driving skill:

• manoeuvring the car
• emergency stop
• parking safely
• effective use of mirrors
• progress
• overtaking
• planning your journey

To pass your test you are permitted to accumulate 9 driver faults, if you accumulate 10 or more you will fail. Any serious or dangerous fault you commit will be recorded as a fail.
